Pumpkin leaves

This plant "self-planted" itself in our yard. the seeds came from last year's Halloween pumpkins that turned to mush. This is colored pencil.

I really like the way you used the colored pencils here - very loose and energtic. The composition is nice too with the border and plant offset.

Nadine, your pumpkin leaves are great and you do such a nice job using colored pencils. I also liked all of your drawings of people...they are so realistic looking. Don't you love Claudia Nice's pen and ink books? I have about 4 of them. She draws so nicely.

I love it when nature decides we need a plant and just puts one there for us. Great job with the color pencils. I'm going to have to find that pen and ink book. Sigh...yet another thing that I really want to do well... someday... cheers!

Really nice handling of the medium -- I love the looseness and energy. It's often hard to get things to look "right" (botanically speaking) but still keep that looseness, but you've definitely done it here!
